Kaylie's Poems: on Monet's paintings

Water Lily Pond Venice: The Grand Canal
As the moss stretches Look! Look at how the dawn's light brings song to thr Grand Canal!
its wavy fingers Look at how the fish are lurking beneath the rainbow of colors.
to touch the water See how the poles creep up the morning sky to say hello.
Look!
And the lilypads
float
silently

Dusk falls
overwhelming sounds
of water rippling

The nightingale sweetly sings
his song
hopefully returning to his nest with a new mate

Blinding beauty

In the silence of the pond

The Cliff Walk Pourville
See how the ladies walk by, dresses fluttering, umbrella spinning.
Feel the wind in their faces, brisk and sharp.
Taste the salty sea air dancing on your toungue.
Bend down and tounch the prarie grasses rubbing against your ankles.
Hear the gulls chirping and forever calling your name in the open air.

Brooklyn's Poem on her painting

United States
United States filled with
many different colors
I'm here now with my
one and only brother

There are 50 states
in all a few are
Mississippi,Alabama, and Louisiana
Texas,South Dakota, and Montana

Roming North to South
East to West
Yes,it's true
The U.S is the best

The Wonderful Colors
Colors, colors,
and just what are colors
why they are the beauty in a painting,
the wonder in art,
oh the collaging color of paradise
